zaBigFatWeekend: Getting The Groove Back

In the past 2 weeks I was in extreme fatigue. Feeling totally knackered which made me longing to just 'hybernate' in my own 'nest'. Probably that's due to the post-fasting season which made me lost my appetite to do anything. Even when I thought I could gain my energy back by having a break in Paris...hell no. Coz for the days that I'm in the City of Light, there's not even a single rest I could do - it's always walk, walk, walk and (cat)walk again to visit all part of the fashion capital. Suddenly my energy hit rock bottom. I tried to go easy with myself, trying to shun highstreet or going to lots of events - just for the sake of recuperating (except last Thursday, hehe).

Alas, holla! I suddenly felt I got my groove back! (Why suddenly Austin Powers' 'Oh, groovy baby' singing in my ears, lol). I'm back to the stuff that I love doing - hitting the highstreet again. Yeah, I do covers some of the stores in the past two weeks - esp the +J thingy and some Burton stuff. But other than that - Zara, H&M, River Island and other highstreet and designer stores - I haven't visited them. I do missed them a lot! And some mates even said they also missed my zaBigFatWeekend. (Hmm.. are they trying to be funny? Ahaks...). But not to worry, dude. I'm back in full swing again (I hope). There's load to tell. Loads new stores to covers. Loads of events to attend. Not to mention loads of new things that I've just got and love to be shared here. So, just watch this space. :)

Ok. Enough chit chat. What's hot at highstreet this weekend?

ZARA. I love that they keep on filling new stuff for fall/winter. But the one that really caught my eyes are the Keith Harring collection. After Uniqlo did an array of KH's tees quite some time ago, now Zara did their rendition of short-sleeved tees and hoodie bearing that infamous pop art prints. Is it because Tate Britain is now showing the same Pop Art in their new exhibit? Maybe. But these lots scream fun, funky and cool. Not for the one who dislikes grafitti-lookalike art though. Apart from that, they got some cool jackets like the asymmetric jersey with detachable furry collar. And new boots too! (I want that mid-calves Chelsea boots!). But I'm still waiting for the military jacket that I previously saw in Paris ...

The grey and black tee.

This white tee got two different prints on the front/back side.

Love the hoodie which got the silhouette of 'human' all over it,
and the one in red at one sleeve.

The asymmetric jacket with detachable furry collar.

H&M. My visit to highstreet would never be complete without going into H&M. What do they got this time? In their 'Purple Label', it's this black shirt. Wahey, wait a minute - it's not ur typical black shirt. This one got beads on the collar. Tacky? Who cares, coz they look fun. It's not what u wear, but how you wear it, right?

And they also got some wool-acrylic mix grandad tee in navy and grey. Very body-con, very nice fit. If you wanna show off ur torso, then get this!

Aha! Finally the one that I'm waiting for. The overcoat that I saw in their ad campaign. Love the velvety feel of the fabric. Very luscious, very luxe. Forget +J overcoat, this one is much more edgier. The fit is so hot and looks very dandy. Love the length - just below the knee. Price? Cheaper than Jil Sander for Uniqlo. :)

Oh my...H&M got more new shoes! I just fell in love with the croc and oxblood patent Oxfords. They are cool. It's the same design as the one that i got last time. Did I get these lots? Theehehe... :D

What about other stores? Uniqlo's +J collection is still being stocked in - with new slim-fit hoodies and wool, flat front pants. I really like all the collection - though have to decline in buying more coz I got loads of the pieces. (Yikes!).

And mid-season sale has just started!! GAP, House of Fraser, Debenhams (eek!) sale has begun. H&M also is having one. But, I'm still waiting when is Zara gonna do theirs. Still, on the other hand I've gotta stop shopping for a while coz I'm waiting for a big 'splurge of the year' next month. Mwahahahaha!! (Evil laugh!)

Oh, what the hell am I wearing last weekend? Since I'm started documenting for my 30-day wardrobe challenge - last weekend I went for a very street, lumberjack style. Hoodie worn underneath the monochrome check shirt, paired with lightwashed slim jeans and Gucci boots. (highstreet meet designer labels, okay. Lol!). And as usual, slightly plunging neckline (and that's why all the shop assistants went very kind to me, as always). Heehee...

But there's something else that i got from highstreet. What is it? Tbc...
