Anyway, Mini has released a new 4x4 this time. Codenamed: Mini Countryman. Still having the Mini genes writtens all over it - with the usual switches, coloured side panels, two-tone air vents and central display. The only difference is it's tad bigger and taller, coz that's what SUV is all about. Oh, the other one is the new Centre Rail, first seen in Mini's Beachcomber concept - somewhat a lifestyle console that extends from the front to the rear and has all sorts of options for storing your goodies, connecting external audio devices, mobile phones and etc... etc.
The Countryman will enter the international market with a choice of three petrol and two diesel engines, with power ranging from 90bhp in the Mini One D variant to 184bhp in the Cooper S variant. It will be mated to a six-speed manual box or a six-speed automatic with Steptronic. If you're like me, my choice definitely be the manual one, coz auto is only for the stupid lazy people. And it's more challenging...
The only thing that I may dislike about the Countryman is the fact that it can only seat four people, compared to five as in normal SUV, coz the seat at the rear is separated by the rail. Not like a 'long bench' as in normal passenger car that you usually found. Well, that's pretty ok too if you're single and hate people cramming in your car, like moi. Lol! :D
So. Eeny Mini miny mo, should I get this Countryman though? :)
