Ask any Brits if they ever heard the name Alex Pettyfer. Chances that most of them will unanimously say yes. If you didn't reckon who's Alex, then you should get any DVD with these titles - Stormbreaker (his first movie break I guess) or Wild Child (starring along Emma Roberts) - or watch his new movies like I Am Number Four or Beastly. You probably be charmed with his eloquent English accent!
But for fashion lovers, you've probably remembered him fronting the campaign for Burberry Spring/Summer 2009 alongside Lily Donaldson, as well as in the Burberry Beat perfume with that guy from One Night Only. To me, that Burberry SS09 ad campaign with the English Garden theme is the best so far that the fashion house ever did. Even the collection I think is the best too coz the peasant-inspired ensemble is not only wearable but the color palette is inspiring, and the collection pretty laid-back yet high fashion at the same time. (It is then I fell in love with Burberry checks, and the bags!).
Anyway, the much beefed-up Alex has recently did a fashion shoot with GQ. Theme: adventure down the Route 66, I supposed coz the look seems to be quite Americana. Sunny weather and convertible car, the cafe that you normally see on the Stateside, the caravan (or is it called RV)... isn't that all a typical look you see in American movies? Great one coz I think Alex Pettyfer is gonna break the US market pretty soon...
