"Why black and white?" asked one reporter to Karl Lagerfeld, referring to the previous Chanel Spring/Summer 09 collection for women. And Karl simply replied, "You know something better combination than black and white?" Followed by giggles by the people around him.
Well, there's something true in his statement though. Coz black and white is the best combo that one can put together. Absolute constrast but harmony at the same time. Simple but chic, sophisticated and pure elegent as always. Just like yin and yang symbol - put it together, they compliment and neutralises each other. Absolute brilliant.
And talking about black and white, I really adore these shoes by Dolce & Gabbana. A brogue and a contrast-piping lace-ups. I'd called them 'modern classics reinterpreted'. Love the detail of the brogue, very simple but it really stood out. The other Oxfords, love how the piping create an extra edge to a plain patent leather shoes. Btw, I think I've seen quite similar one in the previous season, but this time the thickness of the contrasting hem is slightly better coz it made the shoes appears even more ooomph! :)
