I seriously think that River Island is starting to come out of its shell and becoming a frontrunner in highstreet trendsetter again. I know in the 'Highstreet Fashion Awards' they used to bag the Best Fashion Retailer, it's not surprise to see why. Though I still think, you really has to see along the lines (or shall I say, among the clothes racks) to pick the best pieces that they could offer.
So, for SS'10 - what's new in store? Denim. That's it. Like this denim shirt which I would say 'HOLLA' with a big H. Loooove the fit, the fabric and everything about it. Truly scream Dolce & Gabbana with a right attitude. It's faded, kinda washed out look made it a true winner to me. The fabric is from a heavy yarn again, and it's so versatile that can be worn as a jacket (throw away that cardi for spring dude!).
Another denim shirt - in darker indigo. The fabric is thinner than the one before, but still the fit is great. And the creases tells a story too - you are a hot, rugged dude. :)
One jacket that i find quite interesting coz it has the military feel. Very light, which i think is unlined. Good for summer wear. But the 'charm' of this jacket lies on the little details - like the metal buttons and the skeletons on the neck and sewn at the side. Neat.
I think now everyone are excited about studded things. Including moi. I like this jacket with the bling bling on the shoulder. It's pretty simple black V neck, but the presence of the studs gave it a lil' edge. Simple but never bland. :)
Ooh, this shirt really screams Burberry to me. Not really 100% the uber fashion house one, but pretty close. Love the monochrome tartan checks feel to it, and the fit is hot too. I am crazy about this one, but I'll wait for sometime to really bag this.
But does it really has Burberry feel to it? Judging by the real one down here, I think it probably is. Or perhaps it got Burberry 'spit' to it. Lol!
