I love seersuckers becoz of the texture. It may appear like any other Madras stripes, but when you touch it with your barehands then only you can feel the difference between a plain stripes clothings and the seersucker one. I think it's the weaving techniques of how the fabric is made which kinda make it appears having tiny bit of 'ruchings' if you look closer. Like the white/grey H&M blazer that I bought quite long time ago. Really love the whole look of it which suits the mood for summer out in the Hamptons. Oh, pardon me... I'm in London. So, it's gotta be Hampstead instead. Ahaks! Lounging around in the field at Parliament Hill overlooking Big Ben far far away out there in Central London. What a great view too...
Anyway. Mentioning seersuckers, I like these bags from Jack Spade. They're part of the seersucker collection featuring a messenger bag and a zipper pouch. The color combo is very classic - light blue and white - which look timeless. Since seersucker is a very lightweight fabric, to ensure that the bags really can 'stand', they're lined with polyurethane to stabilize it. Still, you can fold it easily should you wanna tuck it into your big luggage for your travel. And the trims are all leather-made in dark brown, making the whole color combo just go well together.
Good news: they're on sale. Oh, lucky you on the Stateside, coz the shop don't do international shipping. Sigh ~~
