Shoe of the Day : The 4B

It's been a long time I haven't worn this shoes, so today I decided to wear to the office. After finding it hidden in the store room - together with my other 70+ pairs of shoes - it's time for the 4B to take its reign of the day. 4B as in Bally black brogue boots!

Bally 'Binci' iPad Cases

I love an understatement when it comes to accessories. Probably because I'm start getting the gist of the mujirushi concept myself that it's better to have a discreet branding of a fashion house to really appreciate the workmanship of it, rather than having too obvious and too conspicuous brandname spilled all over them. Not that I'm saying I'm totally deject the existence of brandname on my accessories, no. But somehow, having items that is plain sans the logo is actually bringing out true beauty of that particular things. (still, I'm not gonna give away my YSL iPad cases, okay!)

Mentioning understatement, these iPad cases by Bally truly speaks the spirit. Codename: Binci, you won't see any brandname whatsoever except when you look closer on the cover, there's a discreet 'Bally Switzerland' hot-pressed stamp exists on the center flap. And of course, another is in the inside cover, which still very tastefully placed. What I love about these iPad cases is the material; grained leather just like Prada Saffiano. Knowing the brand and having some Bally's my own, I'm guessing the leather feel very supple to the touch.

This chic-looking iPad cases has an extra slip compartment if you wanna keep some papers inside. And with the thinner feature (0.4-inch thick), it's meant to be for iPad2 rather than the previous generation Apple tablet. (you've gotta squeeze the predecessor if you buy this cases!). Comes in various colors like red, ivory, black, dark brown and blue - these Binci ipad cases looks so simple, yet chic.

Btw, I'm loving that ivory... which I think goes well with my Bally ivory brogue boots!

Totally Nude

It's time to be bold and be bare. The neutral takes its reign again for Spring/Summer 2011 after in previous seasons making a bit of a talked-about trend both in womenswear and menswear. It seems that the hue is becoming a major fad and nonetheless would be another 'seasonless' thing to watch out. And to keep.

As a continuation, the neutral family - beige, taupe, sand and flesh tone... they gonna take the nude color trend into the next level undoubtedly.

How can I do nude? Accessories wise, I mean... ha! (what are you thinking?)

Going Brogue BigFat Style

Bally Fall/Winter 2010/11 Men's Collection

New bags collection at Bally for Fall/Winter 2010/11. From the weekender to portfolio bags, all are too succulent to look at. The leather look buttery soft, either the smooth deerskin and calfskin or the suede in military green. I love how the Zug Tekaro weekender bags looks like a spitting image of what Mulberry used to do. Great minds think alike? Hope not...otherwise they'll be clones!

My pick? Absolutely the Zug Tekaro weekender in noisettes gloss deerskin. Love the detachable handles and the superbuttery soft leather. And to top it off, couple it with Zug Terlan portfolio which gives you a very modern business look. I also love the Scribe Malio for that minimalistic chic.

Something for the Ladies: Bally Fall/Winter 2010 Collection

Bally Fall/Winter 2010/11 Collection for women.
Great to see precious python skins made their way into fall/winter,
which is normally a staple for spring/summer.
Also the buttery soft leather in brown and cream.
Lots of totes, hobos and zippered wallets.
Very luscious. Very luxe. Very beautiful.

My Weekend Away from London

Last weekend took me away from the busy and hectic London. Once in a while, I need to view outside the box eventhough I can't dare to be separated from the Big Smoke. This time, I travel north to the town called Bicester. It's not the first time I'm there. Been there last summer (which brought me to my lovely Burberry black and white check tote). The one and only reason why Londoners go to Bicester is to visit the Bicester Village Outlet - home of the discounted designer labels.

I got the invitation from the BVO organisers. Well, not really a invitation invitation, coz I'm one of their newsletter subscriber. Whenever there are huge bargains in stores, they'll let me know for sure. This time, they're giving a 10% off the price tag during the VIP Day, on top of the already discounted items. There are definitely massive crowds and loads of cars parked around the village. It's becoz people are taking this time around to shop before Christmas which will be coming soon.

So, anything new in BVO? There are some newcomers like Matthew Williamson, Dolce & Gabbana (and their D&G label too), Alexander McQueen and many more joining the other established designers' outlet. FYI, at BVO prices are marked down to almost 70% off their original prices. Some even offers '3 for 2' during this season like Paul Smith, Tumi and Samsonite. Others like Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and Jimmy Choo has some discounts too.

My find this weekend? The leather tote bag from Bally. Have to snatch it coz it made my jaw dropped when I saw the price. There's no way I will get the price like that at New Bond Street. The leather is really soft, and the design allow me to either carry it as tote bag, or sling it on the shoulder with the detachable strap. Color is very cool too. Was expecting for Leron tote actually, but I can't get away from the store without this bag either.

Next time, I will get the Leron tote. As for now, I'm happy with the Bally. Bally bellissimo!
