It Kliq and Felt So Right...

I normally found stuff by chance. Not that I really wanted to but perhaps my preying eyes is just too 'evil' to notice stuff that made me drawn to it. The bad thing is that in the end it will go home with me definitely (provided that the price is within my reach!). And that happens again when I visited Popular bookstore at Sunway Pyramid last Tuesday during which I was wandering around the store and found this iPad case which I think is pretty cool.

It's a felt, one of the material that I like due to its wool-like features. Very raw, very textured and quite hardwearing. I got one almost similar but a portfolio folder instead from Zara that is quite handy to fill my things [click here to see]. But this one is much cooler since it's for my tablet. And it has a flap cover (velcro-ed), with another zippered compartment on the front making it much roomy and more practical. The reason why I bought it is not really to fill my iPad in - rather, I view it is a good alternative as a clutch due to the attached wristlet on the side. The size that's not too big nor too small is just perfect to 'mlutch' it along. And with the solid construction, plus the high quality metal hardware used on some element of the case - what more could I ask for?

The brand is called Kliq, which originated from the Down Under. I think with just simple look and design, this iPad case will definitely gonna make it big one day soon...

Black Friday

I love doing cliché sometimes. If some Mondays I tend to wear blue shirts to play along with the 'Monday Blues' mood, yesterday I do it again when Black Friday returned into another round in the calender. I know that I'm not celebrating Thanksgiving due to religious matter, but going all-black H2T on the Black Friday seem to be fun nonetheless. It's not a new thing that I wear black on Fridays, coz it's the best day of the week to wear a color that doesn't being classified as 'real color' in the printing industry. And oh, I hope you know what is Black Friday means. If not, there's always Google.... ngggg!

So, I decided to go black all-around. From the shirt and trousers, the accessories, underwear and outerwear.... they're all black. For the accessories, it's all about 'reuse' what I have in my wardrobe again - my zipper boots by Jimmy Choo, the iPad case by YSL and the tote bag by SEED. The best thing, they're all in luscious, oh-so-intoxicating-smell leathers! What more could I ask for?

For the ensemble, other than my slimfit blazer from Asos - the rest is all Uniqlo. My +J wool slimfit trousers, the studded-cuff slimfit shirt and the crochet knitted tie with some V-dotted element. All highstreet at it's best. And of course, paired with the Lanvin tiebar, which is apparently not black. Errkkss... (you can see the close-up of the tie here). (You can't see my innerwear btw, just so to let you know. But I'm wearing my black Calvins, if you still wondering.Ahaks!)

I think I do made the fashion statement, huh? Somehow it made me think I look like a cool, dark, evil warlock! And nope, I'm not supporting the NZ's All Black either, who won the recent World Rugby, if you're asking...

Currently Loving: Dolce & Gabbana iPad Cases

Some injection of color by Dolce & Gabbana for your iPad. I just love the tangerine orange and the mustard yellow that bring up a sense of joy to the gloomy winter. The grained leather and a simple brand logo on the front - what an understatement look by the Italian uber fashion house!

Proenza Schouler iPad Case

Apart from Mulberry Alexa, Proenza Schouler has one of the most definitive satchel for the ladies. It quite iconic in a way, that once you saw it you can pinpoint that the bag is Proenza's. Maybe because of its front flap design  that look kinda unique and quirkily appealing to the eyes that made you drawn to the bag instantly without a doubt.

And to continue the effort of the iconic bag, the label has released some iPad cases bearing resemblance to its satchel design. It does look nice, and I have no grudge that there'll be some blokes out there would also like to snatch 'em too from their girlfriends; especially when it can come across as mlutch (that is men's clutch, fyi) - and it seems to be quite huge for men's trend nowadays.

From the look, I can see that the PS' iPad cases have dual function, one part to safekeep your iPad in the zippered compartment; while the front section with the flap cover can serve as additional storage for other stuff like folded documents, bills, etc... Very practical indeed.

Keith Haring x Apple

Keith Haring has been a favorite at Zara when the highstreet label keep on using the pop art from the American artist in some of their t-shirt collection for quite some time. I happen to try on some of them back two years ago when I did my snoop at Zara Oxford Street in one weekend. [click!]. I love the graffiti-lookalike street art especially his signature 'human' either the crawling baby or the dancing folks.

Now for those Apple users who happens to love Keith Haring's famous print, you too can adorn that to your iPad 2 or iPhone 4 coz there are some protective cases for your gadget. They looks pretty cool and could give that extra 'freshness' to your current bland cases. I like that iPad case in black and white print coz the design of the 'puzzle of people' graffiti is not that tacky, plus it was a slip-in type cases which is better than the strap-on-the-corners one (for e.g. Trussardi cases). And to go matching the look, you could use that similar print iPhone 4 case too... Talking about streamlining, huh?

I said virtual coz they won't be made into print, eh? With many magazine cover template to choose from (though you can't change the 'wordings' on them). you can be a cover model in a snap. [click!]

Bally 'Binci' iPad Cases

I love an understatement when it comes to accessories. Probably because I'm start getting the gist of the mujirushi concept myself that it's better to have a discreet branding of a fashion house to really appreciate the workmanship of it, rather than having too obvious and too conspicuous brandname spilled all over them. Not that I'm saying I'm totally deject the existence of brandname on my accessories, no. But somehow, having items that is plain sans the logo is actually bringing out true beauty of that particular things. (still, I'm not gonna give away my YSL iPad cases, okay!)

Mentioning understatement, these iPad cases by Bally truly speaks the spirit. Codename: Binci, you won't see any brandname whatsoever except when you look closer on the cover, there's a discreet 'Bally Switzerland' hot-pressed stamp exists on the center flap. And of course, another is in the inside cover, which still very tastefully placed. What I love about these iPad cases is the material; grained leather just like Prada Saffiano. Knowing the brand and having some Bally's my own, I'm guessing the leather feel very supple to the touch.

This chic-looking iPad cases has an extra slip compartment if you wanna keep some papers inside. And with the thinner feature (0.4-inch thick), it's meant to be for iPad2 rather than the previous generation Apple tablet. (you've gotta squeeze the predecessor if you buy this cases!). Comes in various colors like red, ivory, black, dark brown and blue - these Binci ipad cases looks so simple, yet chic.

Btw, I'm loving that ivory... which I think goes well with my Bally ivory brogue boots!

Camel Beauty @ Gucci FW'11

The color camel has spilled into Fall/Winter collection again, but this time it's seen on the accessories instead of just on the clothes. Seen at Gucci for FW11/12, some bags collection in camel looks utterly delicious in buttery soft leather. From the tote with the plait handles, to the portfolio and messenger bags carrying the same intrecciato features - camel is indeed a neutral tone that will make it huge for next season.

Another thing I realize is that Gucci keep on continuing their effort to downplay the 'too much logo' branding and opting for the mujirushi concept again. Times and times, any bags awashed with the interlocking double G logos or the one that bears a big 'Gucci' on the center have started to fade, and goes with a bit discreet branding detail like the signature diamante pattern or like these pieces with a very small logo on the bottom side. Too small that you do need to 'scrutinize' the bag, which eventually would lead you to that aha! moment, "oh my, this is Gucci!". Does Gucci finally started to grab the similar ethos like what Tomas Maier did for Bottega Veneta : no brand or logo is needed, instead the craftsmanship of the said item is the one that truly speak out that it is indeed from the fashion house? A brilliant move towards the less conspicuous world.

Btw, I love that camel portfolio. What a succulently tempting clutch...

Louis Vuitton Monogramme Canvas & Taiga Leather iPad Folders

Right now I think those iPad users are becoming much more aware that protecting their fav Apple tablet is not just a matter of necessity; but also a matter of style conjuncture. The iPad cases not only serve what it suppose to do, yet in a bigger picture it should also tell who you are on the sartorial level. In addition, the functionality is what it's all about too - to protect, to safekeep and to make it ready and fast enough for you to access the screen of the tablet whenever you want to.

And the last factor is what I think made Louis Vuitton (as well as Gucci) to came up with the new versions of iPad cases in a proper folder type or portfolio style (just like my YSLs and Dior Homme cases), instead of slip-in cases what they have before (though it's a massive bestseller!). Faster accessibility to the screen without having to waste time taking the gadget out which may even risk you to drop the stuff on the floor - that is on their mind, I guess. And of course, to be able to fold it like a stand; that is another feature that they add to these new cases.

They came with two versions - the Monogramme and the Taiga leather, both having the same designs with the microfibre lining. What i don't quite understand is the flap at the bottom (picture on the right) - where does it go when you close the folder?

Anyway, the bottom line is, by keeping your iPad in a folder type like this is much better coz it made accessibility much faster and safer than a typical slide-in iPad cases. And of course, if you have more than £420 to spare, get those!

... But Dude, Where's my iPad? : Part 6

Oh, dude... my iPad it's on the fridge door! Ahaks!

Remember that once upon a time when LG try to release that internet TV fridge, and it doesn't create that much hooplas to the public? Well, time goes by so very fast coz i don't think that product really work that well. Or perhaps, the fridge was too pricey for average people like us to own one, that's why the response was quite cold. As cold as the fridge inside (no pun intended, nggg...).

Anyway, fast forward, lots of people now own an iPad. More than 14 million perhaps. And that also include people who own a fridge.. which is, erm...billions? So, why not made your own internet TV fridge with this new product instead: the FridgePad by Woodford Design.

Ok, I have one my own - that I stick my iPad onto my Samsung fridge door. The concept is the same as the fridge magnet since at the back of the stuff is a large magnetic 'pad' which is very strong. So strong that even if I slam the door very hard, it doesn't fell. Careful though, coz you do need to fix the screw of the bracket well, unless... erm, the thing will fall nonetheless.

If you think that, uh uh.. it's bad idea to stick any electrical items to a magnetic field coz it'll damage the curcuit of your gadget - don't worry, coz the company ensure us that it is safe. So now, with the FridgePad I can browse the recipes at Epicurious easily... and cook better (I hope!).

Or, while I cook I can follow the dance routine by Shinee thru YouTube - that Lucifer move is so fast pace! Fierceee! =)
