How To Wear: White Jeans

I still remember one lines in the 'Never Been Kissed' movie - "White jeans are so 80s" (The scene: when Drew Barrymore sat in the dining hall with her mates wearing something very retro) But hey, isn't that 80s has made a revival these days. And what more 80s can it be with the return of the white jeans.

So, I read this article in the Details website about how to wear white jeans. I own a couple of whities myself, coz I think it's cool to have a little shake up in the wardrobe. (Don't wanna have only the boring black and blue denims). Just like white shirts or any white colored clothing, they should be bought at least two. Why? If you spill curry on one, at least you still have another lifeline!

So how to wear white jeans?
  • Cut: Avoid any jeans that could be referred to as tighty whities. They should skim your legs—not constrict them.
  • Inseam: A little extra length is fine as long as it doesn't result in too much bunching around the ankles.
  • Stitching: These jeans are best left as a blank canvas. The less obvious the back-pocket detailing the better.
  • Pockets: You're already circumventing tradition by wearing white jeans. Stick with the basic five-pocket model.
  • Color: Unlike your blue jeans, which look better the more you wear them, white jeans require a high standard of maintenance. Remember, they should be white, not beige. So become acquainted with bleach.

Stefano Gabbana, one half of the duo behind Dolce & Gabbana and D&G, says that white jeans aren't "difficult to comprehend," since they're a variation on an article of clothing every guy is familiar with. Pair them with a trim polo and leather belt for a polished, fuss-free look.
