Gucci ad campaign for Spring/Summer 2011 featuring bags in many variety and choices. Taking the inspiration from the attitude of the desert on Northern Africa, some bag features very intricate woven leather in place of Gucci's typical jacquard webbing, which somehow also looks like the woven basket from the tribe there. The color of vintage brown resemble the rustic metal charmingly ornamenting some of the house gates in the souk for ages. While the leather totes in honey seen on some totes, wallet and carryall are probably inspired by the earthernware or even the camel that become a substitute for the transportation on the desert.
There's also canvas range thrown in the collection. Though the design is not really to my liking, I adore the color combo used: camel on white, honey on khaki and tan on navy - that looks harmony and symbiotic together.
My personal favorite from the collection? Absolutely the diamante canvas backpack with ostrich trim and braided leather handle. Also the leather drawstring bag in camel... They look utterly devilicious!
