Once Upon a Time in London: Red Carpet Film Premieres...

My Greek friend, George, nicknamed me paparazzi due to my likingness of hitting the red carpet for the film premieres at Leicester Square, London West End. It's actually not far from my college though, since just about two Tube stops I'll be right in the midst of the excitement - into the glitz and glam of the stars arriving to watch the movies. Sometimes he wonder how do I always know when is the premiere's gonna be coz I always bring back great photos that he also enjoy seeing. Well, what can I say... to be a true Londoner, you've gotta be aware all the time on what's happening around you! (fyi, Metro and Evening Standard are always a great help, ahaks!)

Red carpet event is the place to see the true essence of fashion especially the one worn by the female stars. The male actor though is not that exciting coz it's always be the same old, same old suit. Unless if you ask them 'who you're wearing?' then you can only know whether it's a designer suit or not. Otherwise, it's just a plain suit or tux. But the actresses and celebs who walk down the red carpet - they're the one who's dressed to the nines. Sometimes you can just spotted, 'ooh, she's wearing a McQueen', 'wow, that Proenza Schouler looks awesome'.. or even 'I love your Gucci gold dress, Jessica!' (Well, at least the last one is what I said to Jessica Alba during the world premiere of The Fantastic Four! If you're regular to this blog, you might've seen the Sex and the City girls - Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte - who hit the London red carpet twice for SATC1 and 2, dressed in nothing but designer's head to toe... (you can google back the blogpost!)

Anyway, some of the red carpet photos 'starring' Hollywood leading actors: Tom Cruise during the premiere of Valkyrie; and Will Smith for the Seven Pounds. I would have to say they're truly amazing to the fans. Tom is known to spend hours on the red carpet, signing autographs and interacting with the fans. That's why everyone love him whenever he's in town for the premiere. As for Will, he's a funny guy. No matter who you are... he's always joke around. It's fun...

Something you should know though: once the stars arrived, the crowd goes havoc! That's why the pix mostly turn shaky and grainy... :)
