Having Guilty Pleasures With The Willie's

Last weekend was so damn hot. Temperature scorching as high as 25oC in central London. Some went on binge tanning in the park, while some others like moi go on stores-hopping as usual in the non other than Europe's longest highstreet. But this time it's not about trying on clothes, rather I tried on something I've been lusting before - the Venezuelan dark choc made by Willie Harcourt-Cooze.

It was Channel 4 that showed the Willie's Wonky Chocolate Factory last year that I said to myself, I've gotta go to that Selfridges store and get one. And I did. And what did I find?

There are many versions of the choc. From choc cylinder block made of 100% cacao to the choc bar (or choc slab, they call it) in 72% and 70% cacao (just look at that maths!). Yes, they're all dark choc. sourced from Venezuela and Peru. So succulent, sumptous, luxury kinda feel. My choice of the day is the Venezuelan 72 Rio Caribe Superior.

My verdict? The best choc ever! The dark choc is just perfect - bittersweet, luxe taste. One slab really makes me full. And since the percentage of cacao is very high, it's definitely burn more fat in the body. I can even feel the metabolism shoots up. (The C4 show also proven this too).

The choc come in a small box kinda matchbox lookalike, with two slabs wrapped in a golden wrapper. Once you dig in... you'll be lost in the sumptousness of the choc. What a great pleasure! It's true what they said.. choc is better than... coffee!! :)

Next time I'll try the 100% cacao block. That'll probably skyrocketed the metabolism even more!
