Can I just scream a big HOLLA! when I heard the news that my fav clothing store - Uniqlo - is opening its store in Malaysia soon! What a great welcome to the South East Asia region after it made a debut in the neighborhood Singapore recently. I can say that from now on... no matter where I am, in London or Kuala Lumpur (or even Singapore) i can still buy my fav skinny jeans.
Where's the store gonna open? In the heart of KL shopping district, the Golden Triangle. It's gonna take over the used-to-be Fahrenheit 88 (or KL Plaza) and spans to over 2140 sq m in 3 floors. That's gonna be as massive as their flagship store in Oxford Street, London or Rue Scribe in Paris.
So, people in Malaysia - starts rejoicing coz now you can have a taste of unique clothing that the world's famous brand got to offer. What's more? You can also get your hands on the much-talked about the Jil Sander for Uniqlo, +J collection, which is the super-affordable, ongoing designer collaboration on the highstreet brand.
Me? I just can't wait to check the price tag themselves. Would it be as similar to pound sterling-conversion prices? Or would it be overpriced like Zara Malaysia? Or could it be much cheaper than ever, since the mothership in Japan is actually nearer to this region instead. All will be revealed in a couple of weeks time. As for now... let's just pray it's gonna be cheaper! Ahaks!
(and do check the 'uniqlo' tag on the left pane in this blog or type 'uniqlo' on the search box if you wanna see my previous snooping at London's Uniqlo)
