Brits are sometimes obsessed with anything from across the pond - the US. From the Urban Outfitters, Gap, Banana Republic, American Apparel and Abercrombie & Fitch, US' based brands seem to be making their favor to the English. Probably the cut is more laid back with more loose and relax, and the fabric is prone to cotton rich compared to Brits' wool and synthetic mix.
Latest to jump the wagon is Tim Hamilton - a NY based fashion designer. He'll be making his debut in the menswear market through his Spring/Summer '09 collection. Available only at Browns fashion store (both online and at South Molton Street), the collections contain a mix of preppy look to sportwear and office attire - but with an interesting twist. The zip on the short is visible (only for the brave one), some color mixes are obvious contrast (black and white) and shirt is given an untraditional bib-look. Color palette remains monochrome urban with a pinch of blue.
Price? Too damn expensive (that's why the debut is only available @ Browns). Expect highstreet stores to come up with copies soon.
My fav item: The white zip-up boots. Very unconventional but summery.
