Yes, I am an addict. Additote. Addicted to tote bags, that is. 2008 really saw the renaissance in my taste of bags. Seeing the evolution from the backpack, to sling bag, to messanger and finally the tote bags. Regardless the hearsay about the health concern that tote bag carrier would suffer back problems, I think tote bags are the most handsome bags of all types, yet the most practical given the choice of how you wanna carry them - hold it like a carryall, or on the shoulder. Roomy enough to chuck in anything, from my 10' laptop, to books, newspapers and even my lunches.
To end my addictote this year, is my prized possession: The Louis Vuitton Damier Graphite Tadao. The city tote from the patented Damier Canvas range. The name Tadao is taken homage after Tadao Ando, the 1995 Pritzker architectural trophy laureate (maybe that's why this bag looks very structural). The design is very urbane yet practical, with the grey-graphite color combo, polished silver metal hardware and detachable canvas strap. Looking chic and masculine ;). But with the given price, I dunno whether this one could be my everyday tote though. Maybe just occasional. (I'd rather buy another fake one for everyday use LOL!)
