The word 'Sloane' is synonamous with the glamorous area either for shopping, eateries and clubbing scene with the like of China Tang behind the H&M store (not that I went clubbing, no). Sloane Street is the posh street to shop, alongside New Bond Street in West End. It is there where you can find much of the designer stores anything from LV, Dior, Armani to Fendi and Prada. And to add to the uber posh address is the newly refurb Gucci store.
This is the fifth store in the world reflecting the new design concept of Frida Giannini, Gucci’s Creative Director, following openings on New York’s Fifth Avenue, Rome’s Via Condotti, Munich’s Maximilianstrasse and Hong Kong’s Canton Road. The bronze/gold-ish tone-on-tone with dusky glass window is forever exudes luxury. The boutique covers two spacious floors employing open spaces, warm luxurious materials and natural light to spectacular effect symbolising Gucci’s 21st century contemporary look.
To celebrate the refurbishment of the Store, Frida Giannini has created a unique selection of products available exclusively at the Sloane Street flagship. The limited edition 'Sloaney' bag collection in canvas and leather. The one in canvas with the Guccissima interlocking 'G' bears the Union Jack in its full glory, equipped with the Crown Jewel and 'Gucci' signature print. Very rock and roll. Another in Royal Blue leather has this golden tag bearing the Crown Jewel and 'London Exclusive' label on the lining. Grab them while you can. READ: Only in Sloane Street, London!
God save the Queen!
