La Dolce Vita Coco

Helloooo summer! Have you done your bit for summer yet? Strolling down the beach? Check (done that 2 months ago, lol!). Lounging in the park in hot sunny day? Check... but with tops on, of course. Hitting the highstreet in just shorts and plimsols? Well, what do you think? Definitely check on that one, coz that's practically all the time. =)

But one thing all those activities have in common: I get so damn dehydrated. Thirsty. If you live in London where pop culture is the mainstream here, then you can't help but embroiled in the hooplas that's been around the capital. Which include this one. The Vita Coco coconut water. You think it's just a plain coconut water? Well, apparently yes. But not when you suddenly you heard the celebs like Madonna, Anthony Keidis etc etc put their fingers on this beverage. Oh, my mistake - they put their money in it to be exact coz they've invested in the company that produced this thirst-quencher. In fact Madonna drink Vita Coco during her previous Sticky & Sweet tour this year.

So, my verdict? If you've ever drink coconut water straight from the fruit itself, this one is no different. Probably less sour than what I've ever tasted. It's kinda like plain mineral water but with a hint of sweetness. Very light. But better than the usual mineral water coz coconut water has more health benefits coz it's an electrolyte. Meaning it's great if you wanna replenish your nutrient loss after you get tired getting in and out of the shopping mall, while carrying loads of shopping bags with you in a hot summer day. (Sound like what I did all the time, huh).

This stuff is 100% natural. So refreshing indeed. Besides the plain coconut water, it also come in other combinations too like passion fruit/coconut water, acai+pomengranate/coconut water and pineapple/coconut water. I've tried the acai+pomengranate one, but I think I just stick to the plain coconut water coz it's much more 'natural'! Oh, this beverage comes all the way from Brazil. Well, hello... give me anything from Brazil, I'm totally gonna love it. Ahaks! :D

Where to get? If you happen to be in London, it's at Holland & Barrett or at Planet Organic (2 for £3). Or if you're at some beach somewhere in exotic locations right now - just grab the fruit itself. Or ask the monkey to get it for you (just don't tell them that coconut water have more potassium in it, okay). =)

Contain more potassium than 2 bananas. Don't tell the monkeys? Lol!
