How come I'm the last person to know about the new collection by H&M? Oh, well... that's because I'm not really in the real fashion business anyway. That's why. LOL. Btw, it's good to feed myself with the latest news regarding the new collection for a new season. Be it designers, or just plain highstreet stores. (Which is then passed to you readers of this blog..if any)
So, what's in store for the H&M Spring 2009 men's collection? Well, it seems that the theme inclined towards urban, neo-romanticism. The hues of grey dominate here (again, dark grey and grey-steel blue), with a touch of light pastel colors like light blue, mustard yellow and pink. Plus taupe and sand. Jackets are the main attention, either slim fit casual, semi-formal or even parka and macs. While pants and shorts are more tailored (think chinos). The pinks are definitely for the fashion braveheart (not many people can pull off that very well). Overall, it's quite a stellar collection in the much needed stylevolution for a new year. Expect price to be affordable esp in the credit crunch era, when money issue is always major.
My picks? Probably the white pants with zipped front, the dark steel blue mac and sand-colored jacket. The grey blazer is also nice (eventhough already got one!). But, as usual I need to give them some test drive when the collection hit stores as early as January. Coz sometimes the photographed clothes from H&M might be deceiving. I have learned my lesson before!
