Trendspotting: UNIQLO Oversized Knit and Sweat Hoodies

My weekend stroll always brought me into this Japanese store - Uniqlo. What's new? Well, they have gone oversized again. In the previous months they've introduced the oversized cardigan in wool knit. Looks cool, but rather feels too chunky due to the fabric used. (I think it's not that too popular then, that's why they dropped the price far too low after couple of weeks on the rail). This time they expanded the range to the hoodies too for the Winter/Spring collection.

For the new oversized cardi, the material is a bit ligher - the cotton cashmere. Soft and supple, and still can keep the body warm (upon layering). The fitting is better and one would not look too bulky when wearing it. It hangs nicely between mid-thigh and below the butt (but, depends whether you're too short or too tall, though). The ribbed on the cuff and body fits quite well without feeling too loose. This time around, the pocket lies slightly close to the waist - as compared to previous Autumn collection in lambswool where it is placed towards the bottom of the body. Come in 4 colors - light and dark grey, black and navy. This one can be worn as an overcoat during Spring.

Also new in the collection are the oversized light sweat hoodies. Previously seen in TOPMAN Design range, the hoodies come in 2 versions - one with same color, and the other in contrast inner lining. Again, the body hangs similar to the oversized cardi.
