Sony P Series: How Sony Has Shrunk The Laptop.

The future is finally here. People has been anticipating this for a long time. The results probably has mixed reactions by most people, but Sony has done it again. Unveiled during the CES '09 in Las Vegas, the master of miniaturization has introduced the uber-small laptop - the Sony Vaio P series.

The Sony Vaio P series really brought the term laptop to a new level. Whether the term laptop is suitable, I don't really know. It's more to palmtop-meet-laptop to me. This is how they gonna join the gang as far as the netbook per se is concern. But they don’t wanna call it netbook. More towards compact laptop, that is. What's more, it packs with power. Talking about style meets substance.

The verdict? It looks so deliciously attractive. Very small, thin and light as if you can just slip it into your pocket. Run under Windows Vista, with 2GB memory and WWAN for wireless networking it surpassed other netbook specs. The only downside - there is no optical drive like DVD or BluRay, the trackpad is replaced with trackball like the IBM Thinkpad and the screen is too damn tiny that you have to squint the eye far too much (however, the small 8", 1600 x 768 resolution wide-screen display is very bright and pow with punchy viewing).

Price? Starts @ $900 and comes in 4 colors - red, green, white and black. With solid feel and streamline design, Sony Vaio P surely could be snapped by fashionistas and is a good replacement for Blackberry!
