+J Fall/Winter 2010

Ready for another wave of Jil Sander's collection for Uniqlo? You bet coz it's gonna hit the stores in two months time - 14th October, to be exact. Is it gonna repeat the people's acceptation again just like its debut last Fall '09? I can't comment on that after seeing such a lukewarm response lately when the collection doesn't really become a hit at Oxford Circus for the Spring/Summer 2010, seeing not even a line-up outside the flagship store early this year. But hopefully, for the coming Fall/Winter 2010, +J for Uniqlo gonna get its mojo back.

How's the new collection gonna be? Uniqlo websites give some sneak peek on what we gonna expect from the designer herself through the philosophy, proportion and fabric she's gonna use. The collection is tauted to be a mixture of slim silhouette with architectural approach, lots of sharp tailoring, the use of deep rich colors and luxe fabric - perhaps more wool and cashmere - while at the same time is very fluid and lightweight. All at prices that won't break the bank balance.

To me one item that is worth buying (and to buy a lot) is their shirt. The crisp white shirt. Hopefully with the Egyptian cotton used again, the shirt's gonna be flying off the shelf more than ever. I love how the fabric touch the skin; you can just feel how great quality and luxury it is. And it's well tailored, giving a great proportion to the whole outlook due to the sharp and slim-fitting silhouette.

So, will +J for Fall/Winter 2010 gonna bring back the old-time glory? I am confident it will. Well, it should coz they even use the supermodel, Raquel Zimmerman, to front the campaign! (Just like they use Sean O'Pry last autumn, the collection becoming 'explosive'!) =)
