I love that all the fashion houses are on the course of their own rat race when it comes to providing the consumers with new arrays of iPad accessories. From Dior Homme with the hi-sheen folder, to Dunhill and Trussardi with the 'elasticated band corner-top' covers - iPad accessories is kinda hit-and-miss subject on its own. Still nothing can match the simplicity of Louis Vuitton monogram canvas and Damier Graphite cases, by which the maison has yet again to keep up with the demand and people has been in the waiting list to get one ever since (I called them again and keep hearing it's sold out!).
Joining the bandwagon is Dolce & Gabbana which seem to have the similar 'slip-on' envelop design like Louis Vuitton's. Comes in various version like in the pics below, I love the one in snakeskin which really stands out from the rest. Less is definitely more when putting your iPad in its own 'clothes'. Perhaps this one is much more 'available' for the masses than LV, though you've gotta wait till November to buy it.
Besides those three, Dolce & Gabbana also did the case in zippered version like a typical portfolio bag. Unlike Dior where you slip the iPad into the slot and still can operate it when you open the folder, this one by Dolce can't coz the iPad is actually stored in it's own pocket. Meaning you gotta take the iPad out in order to use it. Kinda hassle, right? But at least it has lots of credit card slot plus one zippered compartment on the outside to compensate the 'portfolio bag' dicrepancies.
(Oh, btw. Wait till you see the leopard print versions which I think way too OTT!)
