Alas! I have found a perfect 'muse' how to pair up a backpack and a smart suit. When I saw most guys down the Tube station going to work, one thing that is quite revolting is their choice of backpack. It made me cringed. No, not physically, otherwise that will offend them even more. I have no comment on their smart suit though coz it looks quite okay, but when it comes to the 'pack that they're carrying... I rest my case.
I think when you wear your suit and ready for business, the backpack must also looks equally good and send the message too. To me one material that is a perfect companion is definitely leather. Or pleather, if you can't afford the hefty price tag. I really love how the color of the 'pack compliment the suits in these pix: brown bag with grey suit, shades of chocolate with tobacco and darker hues of grey, as well as black bag with dark grey suits. It follows the same rules of pairing up your clothes AND your shoes.
But one thing that binds all these looks together: the backpack really a 'mature' one. Not the teenage-wonder-skaters used to carry with them when they stroll around the block!
