I got a couple of tween nieces back home who're very girly girls. When I went back last April, one of my nieces pulled her face in envy after knowing that I gave the Marc Jacobs skull wallet to his older brother who's not far age from her. She asked, why there is nothing for me? Erkss.. I dunno what to say but telling her I'm gonna get her a bag or purse when I return home soon. The real fact is - I actually dunno what sort of bag that girls in their tween years would like!
When I went to Zara recently, instead of going straight out from the store after seeing new collection at menswear, I take a detour to the kid's area. I have to say Zara childrenwear is as stylish as what you get on men's or womenswear too and at a price sometimes rival ours the adults! I actually love to get lots of stuff coz I do have lots of nephews and nieces back home, and would love them to be dressed in stylish stuff just like their uncle. Ahaks. But considering I will end up broke, I only manage to get my hands on two bags for my girls.
One of them is this fringe bag which is new for Fall/Winter 10. I love that it resembles those the women got, but at a smaller size. The look is kinda edgy too and I like the rock'n'roll feel to it, so that my niece would do... ehem...rock'n'roll theme that I like to do all the time (my sis would be rolling her eyes, I know!). It is faux leather and quite cheap for the design and size it is.
Another bag that I really said to myself I have to have that (can't believe it's me who want it instead!) is this FairIsle barrel bag with faux leather and fur trims. So cute that this monochrome bag really reminds me of Chanel bag for this season. Or Dolce & Gabbana, I can't recall which one's which. I really love the Fair Isle design which is pretty neat. Considering it's quite limited in the store, I grab it fast before anyone else does!
So. Getting bags for my tween nieces: that's sorted. I hope that with these Zara bags they can really be my Zara girls. (ZARA, as in ZAmRi A. girls. Get it?) =)
