Our Scandinavian friends have long had it as far as I've remembered. Now it's time for people on the British Isles to have a taste on what H&M could offer in their new online shopping experience. Introducing the H&M UK e-shopping site which is debut today on the sacred date of 09/09!
Though H&M did say that the site won't go public not until 16th September, but for those who are eager to have our hands on the new online shopping site will have a taste today when we've registered for it. So, what is my verdict on the site?
If you happen to browse through the Europe's version of H&M, then it's no difference. The only thing is the language of course, coz you don't have to check the Google Translate what does 'laat alles zien' means anyway (by which in Dutch it means, see all). And it's nice to see Sasha welcomes you on the first page with the statement saying "UK Will Never Sleep Again"! Then you have all the similar tabs on the top for the choices of menswear, womenswear, children etc..etc.
One great welcome is of course the HOME department, where you can buy all the home decor and accessories under H&M brand. From the kitchen textiles, to the living room cushions to bedsheets and duvet cover for your bedroom as well as bath towels - with a click of a button, you can now have it all H&Ms.
One biggest and the most important criteria of e-shopping site to me that will decide whether I'm gonna pursue to go ahead with the purchase or not is definitely the payment options, delivery and returns. I can say it here that some UK e-tailers don't give much payment options like Aldo which doesn't accept international credit card. Or even Gucci and Hugo Boss for UK sites previously.
For H&M, it's not only gave the option to pay by debit or credit card, but also for you to pay later on after receiving the goods as well as by installments too. Kinda smart move since you can budget how much you wanna pay since not everyone has a massive bank balance in the account. As far as budgeting goes, spread your payments to several periods to fulfill your chance of getting those coats or shirts of your choice.
Exchange & return option is good coz you can also return (and refund) to the nearest stores, except for HOME collection. Kinda make sense since there is no HOME department exist in UK at the moment.
One thing that is a bit disappointing is the choice of delivery. Currently you can only choose for the standard delivery which may take about a week. I was hoping that they will also include like what Asos do: various choice of delivery options from free standard delivery for those who don't mind receiving it later, or next day and even same day delivery for you and me who really can't wait any longer to wear that thing NOW! But anyway, I hope H&M will come to that term sooner or later. (Come on, they've just started okay!)
Overall. Great that UK finally have H&M store in the cyberspace. Coz you can shop no matter where you are or during midnite, or even while naked at home (...eek!)!
